Anti Slip Treads for Concrete Steps - Public Library

Anti Slip treads for concrete steps were applied to these newly constructed concrete access steps to this busy town centre library in Northallerton as they were not compliant in terms of slip resistance and step highlighting.

The steps were first thoroughly cleaned to remove all surface contamination. The treads were then masked out and a fast curing liquid anti-slip resin treatment was applied to all masked areas in blue. On completion of the work the steps were ready to accept pedestrian foot traffic in 1 hour.

The steps are now highlighted for partially sighted people and the slip resistance has been upgraded to reduce the risk of slip accidents
